Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Based on Peter Straub's novel 'Julia'; the film changes the ending entirely, softening Straub's bleaker conclusion.
Part of a brief 1970s wave of 'grief horror' where women's psychological pain became supernatural — think 'Don't Look Now' with more séances.

As one of the minor Cast members (Child Actor) in this film 47 years ago, I am so pleased to see it on re-release, a massive "Thank You" to everyone at (Imprint Films) for supporting and distributing the Film, and to anyone who buys it, and I hope enjoys it, or loves it as much as I do,I am especially grateful. The Cinematography by Peter Hannan is exquisite, the highly praised soundtrack by Colin Towns is Hauntingly Beautiful, and the Director Richard Loncraine did a fine job of crafting this supernatural Ghost Story which is a true gem of 1976 British Cinema. I have always adored "FULL CIRCLE" (it's Original Title in 1976), aka "The Haunting Of Julia", for so many reasons, not least as working with Mia Farrow was simply Amazing, sadly my speaking part was not used in the final cut of the film, (one of several scenes we filmed that were deleted) but to be a tiny part of the making of this wonderful Film, and still be in some scenes in the Park Playground is something I am still very proud of, it is a very spacial, beautiful, film. that remains one of my top favorites out of working for almost 50 years in the TV/Film industry.

This is such an eerie, creepy movie. You don't expect it to be scary but it is. It's very atmospheric... the score and cinematography is amazing. It's one of my favorite supernatural horror movies. A true masterpiece.
