Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Bahian animation has been historically erased from Brazilian film canon, centered on Rio/São Paulo. Chico founded one of the state's first animation studios in 1986.
The title references Chico's own words to his children: life has no color until you paint it. His actual brushes and pigments appear in the film.
