Rowing Hope

With the hope of receiving a good education and securing her future with government support, Leni Haini participated in the national training camp for Indonesian rowing athletes for nine years. She won nine gold medals and six silver medals by the end of the 1990s. After retiring, Leni founded a preschool and a rowing school to equip the youth in her village with activities that benefit both their environment and themselves.
