This was originally announced as two films called Resident Evil: Rising Sun and Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, but Anderson condensed everything into one gloriously overstuffed finale.
The 'Retaliation Mode' cut adds 10 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage mid-movie, literally stopping the action so Anderson can explain stunts. It's either unforgivable or genius—no middle ground.
