Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This film exemplifies the 'mawwal' melodrama tradition where medical professionals were portrayed as simultaneously noble and morally compromised.
Athar ElHakim reportedly refused the role twice before accepting, finding Shams's passivity frustrating — ironically making her performance's suppressed rage more layered.
