Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was a pilot for a series that never materialized, though a different Daniel Boone show starring Fess Parker would become a massive hit four years later.
The real Daniel Boone actually hated celebrity and repeatedly tried to escape his own legend by moving further west—this film captures none of that glorious irony.
