Tuscany, 1890. In the woods near a village, a mummy is found in the trunk of a tree. The priest has the brilliant idea of passing it off as the relic of the patron saint and takes it to the church, announcing a solemn celebration. Shortly before the service, however, the creature awakens, revealing a completely unpredictable nature.
