Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Turkish jazz occupies a fascinating liminal space—neither fully 'Eastern' nor accepted by Western purists, making Nilüfer's stubbornness politically loaded.
The album title references Aristotle's Poetics specifically—Nilüfer deliberately violated his dramatic unities and mimesis theories in her compositional structure.
