In a parallel timeline to our own, AI beings have existed alongside humanity since the 1950s growing from mindless service workers to fully-fledged citizens. Present day, Jasmine, a human, and Victoria, her AI best friend, plan to spend a peaceful new year together. However, when a virus that will take effect at midnight threatens to turn AI against humanity, their bond is tested as they panic and try to find a solution so they don't turn on each other.
