I went to the Argo's opening game when Gretzky bought the team with John and Bruce. My dad was in a wheelchair and I was 12. Somehow after the game we had parking that was next to where all the vips were at. Divided by a fence of course. It was just me and my dad. Wayne, Brett Hall, everyone was busy and ignoring us. John Candy came and talked to my dad for at least ten minutes and kept calling people over to meet us and sign autographs for me. On HIS opening night. Wayne's dad then hung out with my dad for 20 mins and he went and got Wayne to come and sign my autograph. John made my dad in a wheelchair be a hero in my eyes for making all of this happen. I never post comments, but had to share this one. Thank you John. Never got to thank him. P.s. it was the first night the Rocket played as well.
