Norman Smith has dedicated his life to protecting and relocating the snowy owls from Boston’s busiest airport runways. Called “the Owl Man of Logan Airport,” Smith has single-handedly relocated more than 900 snowy owls, creating the blueprint for how airports across the US and Canada can manage wildlife conflict.

Norman was my mentor back in the early 70's at Trailside. He taught me to snag an owl flying past with my bare hands. He is just as cool as he seems in this film. Perhaps more so. I'm so happy to see this.

Wow, 9 minutes is not enough. I want to see more of the wonderful work Norman has done with the snowy owls. He is a legend.

This man is singlehandedly saving his unique space in the world. So much admiration for his efforts. He knows what he's up against, yet he perseveres for the owls.
