Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The director, Ted Bafaloukos, was a Greek-American photographer who fell in love with reggae culture and essentially lived with the musicians while filming. Half the 'script' was improvised on the spot.
This film is a primary document of late-70s Kingston before dancehall dominated — capturing roots reggae's peak and the Rasta lifestyle rarely seen this unfiltered in cinema.
