Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The Riga organ was built by Walcker in 1884 and survived two world wars and Soviet neglect, making this recording practically archaeological.
In Latvia, the organ isn't church furniture—it's national identity. Apkalna, one of few women leading this male-dominated tradition, carries that weight visibly.
