Layla, a symbolic embodiment of Palestine, recounts her life in an intimate monologue, recalling the days of peace and beauty before the occupation. Despite everything, Layla displays an indomitable spirit of resistance and a hope for a future in which her land will once again be free and whole. In the end, just as in real life, the stronger party violates Layla, but she continues to rise again to tell her story anew
