The 2009 ceremony was held at Cleveland's Public Hall, not the museum itself, because the actual Rock Hall auditorium seats fewer people than your average high school gym.
This was one of Ben E. King's final major public performances before his death in 2015, making his 'Stand By Me' moment essentially a farewell to the stage he helped build.
