A chastity belt, a war widow, and one very confused English teacher walk into a rainstorm...
Writer and ladies-man Yonosuke, who gives inept English lessons (using Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet), is mistakenly ushered into the back entrance of a woman's house one rainy night. When he finds out that her husband is away at war in Russia he tries to take advantage of the situation. Her honor is saved when he discovers she is wearing a chastity belt. But she is lonely and she has the key...
Costume
The chastity belt is somehow period-accurate and ridiculous.
Writing
Shakespeare references deployed with aggressive incompetence.

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Junko Miyashita was the reigning queen of 1970s Japanese 'pink films,' making this her 47th credited role in just four years.
The Russo-Japanese War backdrop quietly references 1905, but the film exploits it for erotic tension rather than historical commentary—typical of the era's 'pinku eiga' hybrid approach.
