Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The 'Ostalgie' era produced endless Berlin-escape fantasies; this one knows the city won't save you. The scooter journey mocks the classic German road trip tradition while trapped in it.
Directors von Wroblewsky and Kubusch cast actual care facility residents for authenticity in the mother scenes. The bomb prop was functional enough that police were notified during filming.
