90s Celtic pop royalty in 18 music videos — fiddle solos and feelings included.
The Best of the Corrs has digital stereo versions of 18 of their greatest hits, plus six of these also in surround sound. For such an anthology the bonus features are especially poor, with a limited picture gallery and a DVD discography. The accompanying eight-page booklet does at least provide a useful insight into the making of the videos. It's also pleasing to hear the early and graceful instrumental track "Erin Shore" being used as the backing track for the menus.
Production
Joseph Kahn's glossy 'Breathless' video aged surprisingly well.
Cinematography
Ireland looks unfairly gorgeous in every outdoor shot.
Sound
That fiddle tone — Caroline Corr doesn't miss.
Director
Dani Jacobs
Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The 'Breathless' video was shot in Malibu but the band insisted on wearing Aran sweaters to maintain Irish credibility.
This compilation captures peak Y2K 'Celtic Tiger' Ireland — trad instruments, global production, and four siblings who made being wholesome somehow cool.
