Don Levy was an Australian physicist-turned-filmmaker who channeled his experimental energy into this commissioned piece, essentially weaponizing British cultural soft power for a global stage.
The Marat/Sade production featured was Peter Brook's legendary Royal Shakespeare Company staging, with Glenda Jackson's Charlotte Corday performance helping launch her Oscar-winning film career.
