Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Quirot expanded this short into a 2021 feature called 'The Last Journey of Paul W.R.,' proving even 18 minutes of abandonment issues deserved more runtime.
The film belongs to a wave of French shorts reimagining sci-fi through intimate, emotional lenses rather than spectacle — think 'La Jetée' but make it millennial burnout.

So, this was a short to get "Le Dernier Voyage" into production .. Great!

I also have to refer to the long film, a lot of things just don't make any sense: 1. Why do the cars still need roads if they can fly up to the sky? 2. Why does it not rain if the sky is full of clouds? 3. Where do the visions come from? Why does he have to kill himself to stop the moon?
@0711master
Just watched the movie and found my way here trying to find some kind of source material or anything to clear up the lack of details. Unfortunately this is even more vague than the movie.
