Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This film adapts the manga by Makino, who also wrote 'Boys Over Flowers'—explaining the familiar rich-guy-poor-girl dormitory formula.
The 'Black Devil/White Prince' color symbolism draws from Japanese kuroshiro dichotomy, where black represents hidden complexity and white surface purity—ironically flipped in Yū's actual experience.
