chaotic goodfan-service fever dreamsports anime on vacation

Overview

Animation

Hyōtei Gakuen's strange (but impossibly wealthy) captain Atobe Keigo decides to throw a giant party for his friend and teammate Kabaji. He invites both friends and rivals. Together they participate in many different sports and events: dancing, swimming, soccer, a relay race, a haunted house, and more.

Standout Aspects

Acting

Suwabe's Atobe delivery—arrogant, ridiculous, weirdly charming.

Production

Every sport imaginable crammed into one fever dream.

Best for:Friends: Group watch where you roast Atobe's ego together.·Rewatch: When you need 29 minutes of pure serotonin chaos.

Deep Dive

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes

Trivia

This 29-minute OVA exists solely because fans demanded more non-tennis content with the full cast. The studio said 'yes' and clearly stopped caring about narrative coherence.

Insight

Atobe's character became so popular he essentially hijacked the franchise—this special is peak 'we gave the rich pretty boy a blank check' energy that defined mid-2000s shonen fan service.
