Trivia, insights & behind the scenes

Trivia

This was the first colour Dalek story and their first Earth invasion since 1964's 'The Dalek Invasion of Earth.' The Ogrons became recurring Dalek mercenaries.

Cultural

The 22nd-century police state with black-clad officers mirrored contemporary fears of fascism—made explicit when the Controller's Nazi-like uniform was noted by cast.
