Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Piro Milkani was a pioneer of Albanian cinema under Enver Hoxha's regime, making this a rare window into isolated communist-era storytelling.
The marsh of Nusekana was a real wetlands conservation area; Milkani fought to shoot there despite production difficulties.
