Hiroshi Harada destroyed the original negatives in 2006, making existing prints extremely rare. The film was effectively lost media until underground preservation efforts.
Based on Suehiro Maruo's ero-guro manga, the film strips away Maruo's aesthetic fetishism to expose raw economic desperation—Harada's Midori suffers less erotically, more existentially.
