Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The Crimson Demon village is voiced entirely by veteran seiyuu who improvised much of the chuunibyou posing direction. Director Kanasaki kept the weirdest takes.
This film adapts volume 5 of the light novels, the first time Megumin's backstory gets real screen time—explaining why she never uses advanced magic despite being a prodigy. The anime-original explosion sequence at the climax wasn't in the source material.
