Trivia, insights & behind the scenes

Trivia

This was director Alain Tasma's theatrical debut after years in French television, explaining the controlled, almost televisual pacing.

Cultural

The film satirizes 1990s French bourgeois marriage—affairs as routine, temp agencies as class collision zones, and soundproofing as ironic metaphor for emotional deafness.
