Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Jack Scholl directed numerous 'Sing Along' shorts for MGM in the late 1940s, essentially inventing the 'lo-fi beats to study to' aesthetic seven decades early.
All four songs were Tin Pan Alley standards from the early 1900s, making this a bizarre generational mashup where 1948 audiences nostalgia-binged songs their grandparents actually knew.
