Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This 'movie' is just episodes 'The King Is Dead' and 'The Law' smashed together with new credits. Theatrical distribution of TV content was weirdly common in the 70s.
The Dan August series only lasted one season (1970-71) but this 1980 'film' release cashed in on Reynolds' Smokey and the Bandit superstardom. Hollywood recycling at its finest.
