Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The film sparked viral TikTok trends of people leaving 'voicemails for strangers,' though most lacked Deutch's emotional range.
McKendrick wrote Jill's messages in a single weekend after her own sister's misdialed call went to a stranger who texted back 'wrong number but hope you're okay.'

I honestly didn’t expect the movie to make me cry right from the very beginning. It caught me completely off guard. The story was so moving and emotionally powerful that I found myself getting emotional almost immediately. It was beautifully written, brilliantly acted, and the way it connected with the audience was incredible. Such a beautiful movie from start to finish.
