Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This was the 12th Edgar Wallace krimi in four years; they were essentially West Germany's Bond franchise, complete with rotating directors and increasingly absurd gadgets.
The 'blue hand' was originally a glove in Wallace's novel, but producer Rialto Film demanded a more visual monster—hence the claw prop that actors kept tripping over.
