I rented this at Blockbuster when it was originally released in the U.S. I loved the story. The ending was left wide open to the imagination. I wanted to see it continue in a sequel. I ended buying the video and added it to my anime collection. For me, it was worth it. A guy falling in love with a female alien vampire and risking his life to protect her. I'd say it was good enough for me to buy it.
