This group of fifth columnists plans to use America's biggest brains to destroy the country from within. When the saboteurs outwit the gang's street smarts, the kids have no choice but to ask the FBI for help. The feds send in their own teenage contingent -- The Junior G-Men! Deep Dive

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes

Trivia

This was edited from the 12-chapter Universal serial 'Junior G-Men' (1940), explaining the episodic structure and repeated cliffhanger beats.

Cultural

The 'Order of the Flaming Torch' was a thinly-veiled stand-in for German-American Bund groups; the film released months before Pearl Harbor, when Hollywood was still navigating isolationist sentiment.
