Steve Clark is a newcomer in the town of Cradle Bay, and he quickly realizes that there's something odd about his high school classmates. The clique known as the "Blue Ribbons" are the eerie embodiment of academic excellence and clean living. But, like the rest of the town, they're a little too perfect. When Steve's rebellious friend Gavin mysteriously joins their ranks, Steve searches for the truth with fellow misfit Rachel.

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The film was heavily re-edited by the studio, cutting nearly 20 minutes including an entire subplot about Steve's dead brother. Director David Nutter disowned the theatrical cut.
Released months before The Faculty and alongside Pleasantville, it was part of a 1998 wave of films interrogating suburban conformity through teen horror. It lost, but cult status found it anyway.

A classic teen film with a 90s vibe and a great soundtrack. It was a cooler time back then.
