How exactly does Jayne Mansfield's car tie into this movie?

What a great cast. What a horrendous trailer.

13 years later I finally watched this movie. Dam good! Can’t believe I kept passing it up because of the title. This movie is deep and I now get why it’s talking about Jayne Mansfield’s car. Deep meaning about life and death and our final moments and thoughts on this earth. What was she thinking when it happened? What were they listening to on the radio? Etc. This movie is about war and how it affected our soldiers here and abroad. The ending got me. I cried a few times with Billy Bob’s performance and other cast members. Mr. Thornton I love your movies, well written. War what is it good for, nothing! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
