Ashish was born in 1981 in Mumbai, India. He was raised in the neighborhood of Vakola, Santacruz. A commercial artist by qualification, Ashish worked for various ad agencies for 6 years as a creative director. In 2007 he joined Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap for his Film 'Dev.D' as creative head.
