Désirée Angersbach is a German actress, voice-over artist, performance artist, and comedian. She lives in Berlin and is active in numerous theater productions.
Regarded as a versatile and chameleonic performer, she feels particularly at home in the comedic genre. In addition to her work as an actress, she is also active as a dubbing artist and voice-over talent.
Angersbach completed her training between 1984 and 1991 at *Die Etage*—the Berlin School for Performing and Visual Arts. Additionally, she studied—among other disciplines—pantomime, acting, and clowning in Berlin, London, and Rome. She pursued further training at institutions including the École de Philippe Gaulier in London and the UdK Berlin.
Her special skills include pantomime, improvisation, expressive dance, and mask work. She speaks German, English, and French, and is proficient in various dialects, including Berlin German and Hessian.
In 2005, she received the Audience Comedy Award from the Prime Time Theater Berlin for her portrayal of "Gretchen."
