Gian Carlo Grassi

Gian Carlo Grassi, born in Condoue (Valle di Susa, Italy) on October 14, 1946, and died on Monte Bove (mountain in the Sibillini Mountains, Italy) on April 1, 1991, was an Italian graphic designer, mountaineer, and high-mountain guide. He was one of the pioneers of ice climbing in the 1980s. He achieved numerous first ascents in rock, ice, and mixed climbing.
