This series hits me hard... because I was this girl. I got accepted into a private school and was excited to wear a uniform because I grew up in lower middle class and wore mostly boys hand me downs. I was excited to FINALLY wear just ONE thing that could be made for me. Mind you I got into the school because it was considered one of the best around so I was in there for academic reasons - the uniform was a bonus I just looked forward to! Unfortunately, the year I got in, they got ride of the uniform policy... so I my high school years were spent STILL wearing my rags and boy clothes. You go girl, live yer dream!
