Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
This aired on Antena 3 in 2002 when Spain was grappling with ETA violence and ordinary citizens' impotence — Francisco's DIY justice resonated uncomfortably.
The real Francisco Delgado maintained his addict cover so thoroughly that dealers later offered him work; he refused, saying he'd already found his buyer.
