Warren Clarke was best known as Dalziel in Dalziel and Pascoe — this was his rare lead in stripped-back drama, filmed near his actual Yorkshire home.
The two-episode structure was deliberate: writer Matthew Bardsley wanted audiences to experience the compressed time pressure Geoff faces, with no narrative escape between instalments.
