LatestIn this final video I went to Antigua and got to roast some marsh-mellows on Pacaya volcano. I then did a 3 day trek from Xela to Lake Atitlan, hiking through cloud forests, corn fields, small villages and staying with local families. At Lake Atitlan I got to try out horse-riding for the first time before finishing up my trip at El Paredon on the Pacific Coast.
I went solo backpacking around Central America for 6 weeks, travelling through Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. This 3 part documentary series shows the entire backpacking experience. From the fun activities, beautiful sites, crazy parties, to the exhausting journeys and the good, bad and ugly hostels.

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The series inadvertently captures 2018's peak 'van life' influencer moment before TikTok commodified every backpacking path.
Karl shot this entirely self-funded before travel vlogging became sponsored content farms—making it a weirdly pure time capsule.
