The script will probably be better, but I will never unhear Jerry Jewel as Kudo. One other thing that SEEMS to be lost (I could be wrong) is Conan's inner dialogue being in Shinichi's voice. I'm used to both the old dub and the JP original now, but that little detail I think was a genuine improvement the dub had over the sub. Heck, the JP VAs have joked about how Shinichi's actor doesn't get to work so often since Kudo so sparingly appears in the show.
