As her wedding to Peter approaches, Kate takes him to visit what could be their dream home in the country, but he doesn't seem overly impressed. Anji proudly shows off her new baby, but still hasn't made up with Callum, who is avoiding her in the hospital. Beth and Rob are getting on brilliantly and already seem like they've been a couple for ages. Meanwhile, unhappy Lia sees everyone else around her moving on. Emma can tell her mum hasn't been happy since Jamie left and tries to convince her that a trip to Australia may be just the tonic

Standout Aspects

Acting

Four leads with nuclear chemistry—Joyner's chaos energy is unmatched

Writing

Whithouse's dialogue cuts like a scalpel left in a patient

Production

Grimy Leeds authenticity that makes Grey's Anatomy look like Disneyland

Best for:Binge: Mainline all three series over one hungover weekend·Solo: When you need to feel better about your own disaster life·Friends: Bonding over which nurse you'd accidentally kill a patient with
Heads up:Sexual Content: Casual hospital hookups and extremely frank bedside manner·Drug Use: Recreational substance use played for laughs and pathos

Deep Dive

Trivia, insights & behind the scenes

Trivia

Toby Whithouse later created Being Human and wrote for Doctor Who; No Angels was his proving ground for supernatural-level character damage.

Cultural

Preceded Scrubs' dramatic turns and predated Fleabag's hot mess heroines by fifteen years—criminally under-remembered in the 'difficult women' TV canon.
