LatestShumpei tells Keiko to stay with Yutaka, denying liking her. Keiko is convinced he is moving, and spends Christmas eve alone. Later, Shumpei thinks about it some more, and finally realizes that 'Nana' from the phone and Keiko are one and the same. He finds her. "I thought you moved?" "Just next door." Finally, he confesses that it was her he'd loved all along.
Shumpei sometimes sees his neighbor Keiko, but doesn't think much of her. One of Keiko's friends gives her the phone number of a single guy, but when she calls she recognizes him as Shumpei, and gives him the made up name 'Nana.' When they meet face to face, she pretends not to know him, but through their phone calls, they slowly start to fall in love.
