Acting
Athichart Chumnanon's suppressed rage melting into helpless longing.
Writing
Ridiculous premise that somehow lands genuine emotional devastation.

Classic lakorn maximalism—no feeling too big, no stare too long.
Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
Based on Epi Klangborihan's novel 'Burning Sugar'—the title refers to love that caramelizes into something bitter and stuck.
This 2009 lakorn captures a transitional moment in Thai TV: traditional arranged marriage plots colliding with emerging LGBTQ representation, however clumsily.
