Shot in Iceland despite being set in Svalbard — the real Fortitude doesn't exist, but the research station interiors were built in a Reykjavik warehouse.
Fortitude arrived at peak Nordic noir saturation but went full sci-fi body horror when True Detective was still doing trees. The pivot alienated some, obsessed others.
