LatestSOX receives a mysterious invitation to a "health spa" where they come face to face with some stiff competition, but in the midst of battle an erotic secret is revealed!
Sixteen years after the "Law for Public Order and Morals in Healthy Child-Raising" banned coarse language in the country, Tanukichi Okuma enrolls in the country's leading elite public morals school and is soon invited into the Anti-Societal Organization (SOX) by its founder, Ayame Kajou. As a member blackmailed into joining by Ayame, Tanukichi ends up taking part in obscene acts of terrorism against the talented student council president Anna (for whom Tanukichi has a crush on).
Writing
Ridiculously clever wordplay where every euphemism is a small revolution
Production
Visual gags that escalate past reason into genuine satirical brilliance
Trivia, insights & behind the scenes
The light novel author, Hirotaka Akagi, was literally 20 years old when this debuted — making the political satire about as Gen Z as anime gets.
The series directly parodies Japan's 2014 youth ordinance tightening, which was cracking down on 'harmful' manga/anime content while Shimoneta was in production — the timing is almost too perfect.
