This was TARAKO's breakout role before she became iconic as Maruko-chan. The entire voice cast reads like a who's-who of 80s anime legends including Masako Nozawa (Goku's voice actor as a BUNNY).
Japan's obsession with Alice predates this by decades, but this series cemented the 'kawaii-gothic' Wonderland aesthetic that influenced everything from Final Fantasy to Sanrio's darker lines.
