LatestFumie's fury brings Shinnosuke and his parents back to their senses, but the Monster President emerges from the Mayor's body and shows its humongous true form. As the evil monster heads towards the town, Fumie and Shinnosuke put forth their final effort to stop it from destroying the world. The final battle between the Monster Busters and the most evil monster begins!
Unlike the main television anime series which is mostly set in modern-day Japan, the new series will be a "sealed room" suspense comedy set 100 years in the future. The story begins when Shinnosuke and the entire Nohara family wake up from cold sleep to find themselves aboard a space ship drifting in space. The anime will depict the various events that take place inside the ship.

This spin-off was Mihara's passion project after decades as a key animator on Shin-chan films—he specifically wanted to explore how the Noharas' chaos would break sci-fi conventions.
The spaceship's design subtly references three classic Toho sci-fi films from the 1960s; Mihara included these as Easter eggs for his fellow animators, not expecting Western audiences to catch them.
